Biosolids (Sludge) Processing

At Charter machine company, the processes we use in our dewatering equipment are among the most advanced and efficient methods in the world. The process begins when the sludge is loaded into the machine and mixed with a polymer. The sludge then moves along the gravity belt thickener and proceeds to turn from a liquid into a thick, heavy mud. The water separated from the sludge drips down into a collection tray while the mud is pushed through a series of rollers. The remaining water is squeezed out of the mud and also dropped into the collection tray. The mud (now a very dry cake substance) is pushed out of the machine for collection. Biosolids Processing machinery is a specialty of Charter Machine Company.
